Delicately floral, with fresh citrus notes and a soft, honeyed sweetness, neroli has been treasured for centuries for its exquisite fragrance and its traditional association with love, beauty and tranquillity.

The Story of Neroli – A Princess and Her Perfume

Neroli takes its name from Anna Maria de La Trémoille, the 17th-century Princess of Nerola in Italy, who adored the exquisite fragrance of bitter orange blossoms.

The princess famously perfumed her gloves, clothing and bathwater with this precious essential oil, making the fragrance fashionable throughout European aristocracy.

Ever since, neroli has been cherished by perfumers, herbalists and aromatherapists for its beautiful fragrance and its ability to evoke feelings of calm, happiness and serenity.
